1. Scientific Godism: A New Theory of Everything as One (SG-O-TOE) and my own Cosmic Awakening:
Abstract:
Greetings, my name is Gerald B. Coleman. I am an Electrical Engineer by profession, with a passion to introduce my True Parents to all humankind. I was born in Monrovia, Liberia but raised and educated in the United States of America. I am Married to a wonderful Korean lady, Mrs. Chung-Ja Kim-Coleman, and we are blessed with four wonderful children and three Grandchildren. This year 2025AD we celebrate our 43rd Wedding Anniversary together with 6,000 couples from all over the world.
We are part of the first generation of human beings blessed by the Lords of the Second Coming in Holy Marriage. While the rest of the world waits in anticipation of the Second Coming of Lord Jesus Christ, we have accepted the biblical prophecy in Rev 21: 1-8. We have accepted the Rev Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak-a Han Moon as the fulfilment of the Tabernacle of God on Earth with Man – as the True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind also called the “face of God” in Rev 22:4:
“Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. 6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. I am writing this short autobiography as an introduction to my Doctorial Thesis called Scientific Godism: A New Theory of Everything as ONE. I hope you enjoy our New H.O.P.E. (Heaven On Planet Earth) Peace Message.
My Search for True Parents:
Godism was originally conceived by Rev Dr. Moon before my birth in 1952, yet from the time I came to know myself as a living being, I have felt disconnected from my higher self as a true child of God. Being born without true parents and at a time of political turbulence in my country Liberia, I opened my eyes to my identity as an African in the Bronx of New York City in 1962, at the age of ten. From that harsh environment began my awakening as God’s Boy Child (GBC).

Prior to meeting Father and Mother Moon, Lord Jesus guided my life. I was raised as a Christian by my stepmother[1]. As a Christian, I believed that Lord Jesus was “the only begotten son of God”, but with time I became disillusioned with religion as an institution. I never lost faith in God and Jesus, but I began to doubt the church and its teaching. The more I witness man’s inhumanity to each other, the more I began to question the existence of God.
While growing up in America I learned about racism, hatred, greed, and selfishness. In 1965 my adopted mother moved back to Liberia, so I could see the fruit of a nation built on Christian Principles and ruled by black people themselves. Painfully I came to realize that after suffering 210 years of slavery under racism in America my African ancestors had inherited the ways of their slave masters. They gradually developed Liberia into a nation-state rooted in tribalism[2], a root that blossomed into 27 years of civil conflict from 1979 to 2006.
From 2006 Liberia entered a new period of its providential history. We elected our first female President, spiritually symbolising the end of a 27-year period of male dominance indemnity linked to President Tubman’s 27-year rule under the True Whig Party. As a member of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Liberia, I researched many providential parallels between Liberia’s history and that of South Africa linked to Tribalism. Notice how Mandela was in prison for 27 years where he successfully indemnified the painful mistake of Apartheid. I hope to share these parallels in future books on peace-building.
My Break from Institutional Religion:
In the 1970’s I had a series of spiritual experiences that began the true awakening of who I really was… God’s Boy Child. In John 4:20 we are told the following:
“If a man say I love God and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”
From this simple verse, I came to understand why we cannot love each other in this world as we should. I came to understand we are all orphans in this physical universe. We have never had True Parents to raise and love us from our True Heavenly Parents’ point of view. This simple verse also made me realize that modern religion does not know the true heart of GOD. Upon returning to America in 1970 as a student of electrical engineering at Wayne State University, I decided to seek out the truth of GOD – outside of my traditional faith. I studied different religions and mystical philosophies to understand their view of GOD. Then I noticed that as I searched for God, he too was reaching out to me.
My first spiritual experience was associated with an allergic reaction to penicillin. After being treated with penicillin for an insect bit, I had my first near-death experience[3]. My physical body dropped to the ground[4] in the hospital moments after the injection, but suddenly I was awake in another body looking at my physical body on the ground. This experience and several others after that made me clearly realize that consciousness exist in a spiritual body not the physical body. A second experience linked to cerebral malaria taught me that human beings have spiritual[5] senses beyond the five physical senses.
My Own Cosmic Awakening:
Based on these two experiences and a sincere calling out to God for New Truth[6], I heard the Divine Principle for the first time on the 23rd of March 1979. Unlike most members of our movement, I was spiritually led to Godism by Lord Jesus Himself or maybe the Holy Spirit. Thus, I call it an awakening. From the dawn of human history, God planted his seed (the breath of life) on earth through Adam and Eve[7]. We are told that the seeds never reached maturity due to the Fall of Adam and Eve. But we have never been given the details of that process in plain language until the coming of True Parents. Most institutional churches teach that Adam and Eve disobeyed the words of God and thus fell or were alienated from God. Their focus is not on the root cause of sin but rather the grace of spiritual salvation through the Cross. Lord Jesus prepared Christians for his return when he referred to his Second Coming through the Comforter, in the book of John as follows:
John 16:12-15 “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he[8] will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.”
Regrettably so few Christians believed Father Moon was the Lord of the Second Coming, and fewer still believe Father & Mother Moon are the True Parents of heaven, earth, and humankind[9]. By the grace of the Holy Spirit, I did believe when I heard the Divine Principle in March of 1979. As the first awakened in Liberia (First True Son of Africa), I felt a profound personal responsibility to awaken all Liberians and Africans who would listen. Having failed in my first efforts (1979 to 2020), I am writing books and Blogs to share my experiences and lessons learned from a scientific perspective this time around. Truly I love you all forever…
My Prayer for Your Awakening:
In summary, I hope that SG-O-TOE will spark a spiritual awakening in your heart, while leading us all to the physical realization in our minds, that we are co-creators of this universe along with our invisible Heavenly Parents… collectively, we are all the visible manifestation of God[10] on earth. The proof of this will become clear as we restore our spirituality. Each human being was endowed by God with a living Spirit[11], a spirit that qualifies us to be heirs and thus children of the living God. SG-O-TOE seeks to introduce from a scientific perspective – God’s words, so that it may help awaken the sleeping spirit dwelling deep within each of us (the Indwelling Spirit… your inner higher self) as children of God. Without such a new spiritual awakening, we will not be able to transform our current human society into the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth as the Utopia of human perfection[12]. But with the presence of True Parents on Earth this New Heaven On Planet Earth (New H.O.P.E.) is our collective destiny. As I stated earlier LOVE is GOD and GOD is LOVE. As we manifest the true form of LOVE on earth[13] through fulfilling our human responsibility outlined in Gen 1:28 and substantiated through the Ideal of the Family, we will gradually open our spiritual eyes to the divine truth that “We are GODS”[14] (John 10:34-36).

Though this scientific approach to understanding the nature of God, Man, and the Cosmos… it is my hope and prayer that all human beings, and the creation itself will finally awaken to the realization that “the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind (True Parents)” are the Avatars and substantial embodiment of “God the Father” and “God the Mother”; thus, they are the harbingers of our true origin, destiny and blood lineage. They have appeared just in time to help us avert the coming wrath of God which is upon us in the form of global warming, and other ecological imbalances, not to mention our foolish love for violence, civil conflicts, and free sex! These bowls of wrath (mentioned in Roms 1:18 and Rev 16:1) are the consequence of our extended disregard for the laws of God regarding our usage of Their Holy Spirit and Universal Prime Energy.
Those that have been blessed in marriage by True Parents[15] will now be able to understand why we now stand in the historic position of restored princes and princesses of God on Earth with the mission of becoming victorious Heavenly Tribal Messiahs. This mission bears the responsibility to clean up this world, kick out Satan, and restore the lost Garden of Eden on Earth within the next five years (until 2027) or by our twenty-one generations.
Please study the Divine Principle directly. All that I present here is my humble attempt to share with you what the Lord has shown all Central Blessed Families, but it can never substitute for your personal dive into the nectar of Truth and the Spirit of Love offered by Godism. Love you all forever…
Let us now begin our journey towards a new view of God and Man as One. In the next chapter, I will unlock my methodology in searching for the final truth which could marry Religion and Science together as ONE whole Theory of Everything.

[1] My birth mother died when I was about three years old. She had asked her cousin Georgia B. Coleman to take care of me. As a single mother, she raised me as a Christian. I sometimes jokingly tell my close friends that I have four mothers: 1. Geraldine Bennetta Coleman who gave birth to me, 2. Georgia Jones, my birth father’s wife at the time of my birth, 3. Georgia Coleman who adopted and raised me after my birth mother died, and 4. My True Mother Dr. Hak-ja Han Moon.
[2] Tribalism is another aspect of Racism; both are rooted in man’s inability to love his fellow man. I now understand this inability to love is the result of being raised by False Parents instead of True Parents.
[3] This phenomenon is called Clinical Death in contrast to biological death.
[4] This incident took place in Monrovia, Liberia at Sneezer’s (in sound only) clinic, where the current national museum is – the corner of Broad and Gurley Street.
[5] In this case, the fever of malaria cooked my brain but instead of sending me crazy, my spiritual senses were activated for a period of two weeks.
[6] In March of 1979, I did a three-day fast and prayer challenging God to send me a new truth. In John 4:23 we are told to worship God in spirit and truth. After all my studies I could not find a clear understanding of God and the reason why suffering continues on earth even after the death of the Lord Jesus. So, I challenged my Heavenly Parents to please send me a new truth. Exactly as I broke my fast two missionaries from the Family Federation (FFWPU) knocked on my door saying, “We have new truth for you from God”. I can never forget that day and the feeling of joy in my heart to know that Heavenly Parents were real, and they loved me!
[7] Science strives to understand the true origin of human beings. There are many theories about this linked to various bones excavated from sites around the world, but until we have clarity on this matter I prefer to think of Adam and Eve as “the first human beings with the consciousness of a creator in heaven as their Heavenly Parents”. This view is like the teachings of Kabbalah.
[8] Note in this verse the Holy Spirit is referred to as a “he” but referring to Strong’s Greek dictionary we learn that the original word used was “ekeinos” meaning “that ONE” again referring to the neutral form of GOD’s SPIRIT as both male and female harmonised into ONE. This again verifies SG-O-TOE’s view that the Spirit of Truth referring to the Holy Ghost Spirit of God was neutral reflecting a parental spirit as in Father and Mother Spirit. Thus, we see the coming of the new Messiah as two witnesses acting as One (Rev 11:3-5).
[9] This is the title given to Rev & Mrs. Moon by heaven as a consequence of their victorious life dedicated to completing the mission of Lord Jesus Christ.
[10] Of course, in corruptible form presently.
[11] Gen 2:7 “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”. The dust of the ground was used to create our physical bodies but our inner essence is from God, thus we qualify to be Children of God once we are awakened to this TRUTH. We can refer to this living Soul as the “indwelling Spirit of God” being developed in the womb Spacetime of Heavenly Mother.
[12] There are many diverse religious and spiritual organisations working separately to create a world of goodness. Still, until we truly awaken to the oneness of GOD as our collective Heaven Parents and coordinate our efforts in harmony with their will (heart resonance), we will not be able to create God’s Kingdom on Earth as the 8th and eternal Golden Age of Humankind on Planet Earth.. For this reason, I believe heaven has sent True Parents, particularly our beloved True Mother as the Only Begotten Daughter of God.

[14] A deep study of Kabbalah verifies this also. It appears that several spiritual movements have understood this simple truth throughout history and have keep it hidden for fear of Satanic attack and destruction. This is one of the roots of secret societies throughout the world and is evidence of an ongoing cosmic battle between Good and Evil for the life essence of humankind. In Rev 16:16 this final Cosmic Battle between Good and Evil is called ARM-AGE-DOOMS-DAY-ON (ARMAGEDDON).
[15] Rev and Mrs. Moon have officiated the marriage of over 360 Million Couples worldwide. These couples are called: Blessed Couples by the Family Federation for World Peace Inc (FFWPU-INTERNATIONAL). Even their children born after the blessing are called Blessed Children. This is all in keeping with biblical prophecy Rev 19:9: “And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. These are the true sayings of God”
